The target is about 50 yards away and the bullet hole pattern has to be in 5 tight groups to qualify for a merit badge ( it takes real skill )

Tips :

Please read the manual ( its required )

the shooters will have a spotter that they will be paired up with that will have a telescope to watch the bullet hole pattern and let the shooter which way to move the rifle to get it on target .

The shooter needs to stay in the shooting position and keep the rifle stable while loading the next bullet into the rifle

The shooter needs to keep his head down and keep an eye on the target at all times while reloading - if the shooter is moving the rifle and looking around than the pattern will be lost ..

Remember to squeeze the trigger not pull the trigger ..

Good luck and have a good time ..
